Nearly here today, more tomorrow
Had my second op today, and hopefully the last, well, up top anyways.
I got up shortly before 4.30am as I had to be in London for 8.30 and train takes like 2 hours and left about 5.48. Or so I thought. A number of things went wrong, southwards, the harder way etc etc today, a real weird day. In short I got to the station at just after 5.30am, found th earliest train was 6.12, which meant I would be late for the appt, bugger. When we left I knew I had no ticket as the booth was not open when I got there so I had to stay awake and buy one off the conducter, who subsequently didn’t appear for ages and ages, nearly there in fact. When I dropped his pen and I bent down to look under the seat for it I fely my trouser button go pop, crap, memories of the cotton fraying came to mind. Shit shit shit.
When I finally got there, then outta the tubes I called to say I would be a little later as it was then 8.40am, fortunately I was only about another 5 after this. I was taken immediately to the disclaimer, took the pills, got changed, then thought I best pay whilst I was still conscious. For some reason my frreakin card would not clear, aaaaaaaaaaaaaagh, what is it with today?! They let it go for the time being as they had to get underway.
It was remarked how I was going to be a bleeder cause of being on hormones which surprised me that it could make such an apparent difference. Dr May came in, gave me a shot of something, I seem to then recall bleeding and hearing scissors snipping away as it all started. I was strangely so much aware this second time around, I didn’t like that, ugh! The time came for tha hairwash and that was ok, meant I was almost there, well, a nasty bit done anyways. I had the lovely Biryani from the previous op and another newbie called Julie. I liked her too as she just kept complimenting me on my eyes and told me about one of her previous boyfriends was trans questioning and she was cool about it, even helping him. So nice to know and meet these kinds of people, I read about em and know they exist but its way cool that I meet em.
The actual planting of the grafts seemed to hurt more this time, especially on the front of the head, the old forhead area, brrrrrr, a couple were just so urky at time and I just wanted it to be over. I do wonder if the aneasthetic wasn’t as strong cause on way home and even now, the back of the head is real painful, feels hot. I havent actually looked at the work properly yet, I may tomorrow but I hate all the blood and I cant wash it until Saturday. Eeeeeeeeek!!!
I got the payment resolved after calling the card company. It seems that they would not accept the tranaction with my being there as I didn not know my PIN for the card, however, the reception lady tried again as if I was not there, ie like a mailorder etc and guess what? It cleared! The stunning new fraud protection appears to work, yayyyy, or rather, not yay cause if its your card then you will get nothing! However, someone who stole the card can still take money simply by selecting the option to say ya aint present?!!! That’s @ucked up.
When I bought my railcard in the morning the guy asked if I had a young persons railcard (it provides discounts)?! I said "er, no I havent", yet in my head I was all "Wha? A YOUNG person card? How the freakin old do you think I am not?". Just before writing this I checked out the eligible age and its shown as upto 25. Oh wooooooooooooow, I wonder just how young he thought I was heh?! Was embarassing handing over my card as payment though as his demeanor definatly changed when he saw the likely Mr ????????? On it. Ah well.
Hoping I get some sleep tonight and no wakies wakies, I really want the head to stop hurting so much.
Nat
